As for the spec of my system as i have said it is a custom built machine.
CDD.DLL could this file have been corrupt by the BSod`s that i have been experiencing since about august 2009? (when the RAM was upgraded)
Unlikely, Windows is quite capable of repairing itself if file crc checks don't quite match up.

The programs i mentioned earlier will give us the information about your system's components, cpu-z specifically will give us info about the ram vendor, current timings, and the timings that should be used.

    CPUID
    CPUID

    Get those,
in cpu-z (about tab), save the report as txt or html, html is easier to read but you can only attach it zipped here i believe.
using PC Wizard, fill out your system specs, it'll list all brand, model, serial numbers etc... thats important is the ram serial number or part number as they'll help identify the ram installed and get the correct settings, if it is a configuration mismatch.

My system is a Notebook with Windows 7 Home premium 64bit.

This problem would have occurred rarely, but, in the last week, it happened 3 times.
