I had BSOD from playing an old game on Win 7. The Geek Squad at Best Buy had it running in 30 seconds.

This is a problem due to the drivers corrupt or faulty, you have uninstall your display drivers, Download this Guru3D - Driver Sweeper (Setup) download from Guru3D.com run it AFTER you have uninstalled your drivers then re-download the drivers for your nVidia card here: Welcome to NVIDIA - World Leader in Visual Computing Technologies

There is a 0x3b error in there. Try completely uninstalling the antivirus on the machine. That may even cure the video driver problem as well. Meaning, your antivirus could be causing the video errors by itself.

Yeah, it really isn't. This issue has a number of causes, none of which are to do with corrupt drivers. More often then not its a combination of drivers that are incompatible with each, especially so if its a via sata/raid with nvidia drivers.

Unlikely, unless you have an Nforce 4 chipset.

Poorly Configured, mismatched or incompatible ram however are possible.

We need to get back to some basics.

1.It would be helpful if you would fill in your system specs via User CP - Your Control Panel - Edit System Spec.

2.How Windows 7 was installed? Was it an upgrade installation or a clean installation?

3.Please list what AV & Firewall you are using.

4.Did your computer come preloaded with an AV program? If so how did you remove it?

5.Had you tried a system restore to a date prior to the current problems?

Also - If you are overclocking STOP.

Note - Usual causes of BSOD's- Memory corruption, Hardware (memory in particular), Installing a faulty or mismatched hardware (especially memory) or a failure after installing it,
Device drivers, SCSI/network/BIOS updates needed, Improperly seated cards, Incompatible storage devices, Overclocking, Virus scanner, Backup tool, Bad motherboard or a Missing Service Pack
