Windows 7: windows 7 is killing me

hi all.. a bit desperate

ever since i upgraded from xp to Windows 7, i dont seem to stop having BSOD. Basically there´s no pattern for the behaviour. It may happens in an intense opeartion or just checking the email.



i have no experience whatsoever on debugging.

my specs are
mobo: Asus p5be
4gb ram ocz DDR2
Inted Quad Q6600
Graphics Quadro FX1500

Your .dmp files show this a Memory Management problem ... download memtest86 and let it run for at least 5 passes .. post your results..

i´ll do a memory check, sure thing. But i suspect that might not be the only reason. Ten minutes ago i had a BSOD and i manage to see the reason to be "system_service_expeption" By the way Twes what application did you use to get all the data displayed? i have a few dump files stored and i could check a few to see what the reasons have been.

i have posted my spces on the profile

now i dont see much solutions apart from rolling back to xp (where i didnt have this BSOD with the same rig) or getting an apple. :-)

one more clue into the problem

after the system crashes and restarts, the applications takes ages to start up. For instance after effects will take up to 3 or 4 minutes to start up. Then, if i close the application and start up again it will do it normally, say about 30 seconds. This will happen even with the smallest of the applications, say a browser

First, the app Tom uses is called BlueScreenView. Very easy to use, but often times innacurate. For a quick glance, it often works great, but if it points to ntoskrnl, you want to use a different program.

What happens if you reboot normally, and then start applications?

if i restart is all good, programs start normally (quick)
