Windows 7 32-bit BSOD

Hello. So on december of 2009 i went to a computer shop and asked them to reformat my laptop and upgrade it to windows 7. Then after i took my laptop, after using and installing a few setups, BSOD happenned

Then after that, BSOD keeps occurring from week to week. Sometimes it happens every 2 days or every 2 weeks. It's only been 5 months i've send my laptop to a computer shop to repair and there's 18 crashes already.

I really don't understand why or how BSOD happens and i've searched for various method but i just don't know how to fix it. Please please please help me. and i'm a computer noob as while. Please guide me!

i don't have the window disc image burner.
so means i download the latest memtest86 ISO and burn it into a cd?

First, you may want to try uninstalling Avira completely, and installing Microsoft Security Essentials instead.

You should also run a memory test. Download Memtest and the ISO to a CD using the Windows Disc Image Burner. Boot from the CD, and run it for at least 6 passes.

hmm i can't seem to boot it from the cd. i burned the Memtest into the cd and insert it, but it doesn't seem to work
