    BSOD power state failure

Can anyone tell me the problematic driver and how to remove it specifically? Thanks in advance I really appreciate those with debugging software.

PS I can't seem to run the SF Diagnostic Tool in Administrative mode. it says "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access the item."

There's not a whole bunch of information in the dump file (that's why we need the SF Diagnostic Tool files). Without that we'll need, at a minimum, your COMPLETE complete system specs and the report from running MSINFO32.exe.

The error blames hardware - so it can be either a problem with your hardware or with a driver.
The driver involved probably is nvhda64v.sys - a component of your nVidia HDMI audio drivers

You also have other nVidia drivers that are older - so I'd suggest updating your nVidia chipset and video drivers directly from the nVidia website: Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers
    Here's the older drivers:
    Code:
    nvmfdx64.sys Sat Nov 17 18:47:57 2007 - NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller Driver - http://www.carrona.org/dvrref.html#nvmfdx64.sys
nvsmu.sys Fri Oct 12 19:53:40 2007 - NVIDIA nForce System Management Controller (nVidia nForce chipset driver) - http://www.carrona.org/dvrref.html#nvsmu.sys
    Summary of the BSOD:
    Code:
    Built by: 7600.16385.amd64fre.win7_rtm.090713-1255

    I can't thank you enough

I installed newer drivers from the nvidia website and so far sleeping and even IDE is working. I wanted to thank you for your speedy help in telling me the problem even with minimal computer information. In the past I installed the drivers from the foxconn website directly but clearly those drivers are old old old. The computer is now up and running without BSOD and you, John, are the reason why. Thank you again.

In general the most updated drivers are available from the manufacturer of the device - even if that device is built into the motherboard of a system.

But, some device manufacturer's don't release drivers to customers - so you end up searching for the most recent version on the web.

    Good luck!
