Sometime the bsod is heavily decorated with flickering pink and green lines that almost makes the error not readable...
I only installed a couple of programmes on the machine, all and all its still very "vanilla"

Can anyone see if this makes sense? I otherwise had a very good feeling about bying HP... 
These were all probably caused by NETw5s64.sys which is part of your intel wifi driver. I do note that they may in fact be caused by utorrent (running at the time in all of them)forcing the wifi driver to fail
I would uninstall the driver and get a fresh copy. I would also think about using a different torrent client
