Hi Chapster,
Yeah, I've read about others having the same outcome, but I don't think it would hurt to run a test anywho. It pretty much sounds like it's some hardware issue. Might take out some memory one by one and run it for a while to see if the errors come back. Sort of an old school experiment let's say. | My System Specs |

Update, I've upped the CPU voltage from 1.25 to 1.26.75.....seemed it was more than enough voltage to run my slight overclock.
Haven't had a problem in several days now. I'll keep you posted if this solved the problem for certain as it may be helpful to other users. | My System Specs | | OS Win7 CPU E8400-3.8GHZ Motherboard Asus P5K Memory 4GB Crucial Ballistix Tracer Graphics Card XFX 9800 GT Monitor(s) Displays Samsung T240 Screen Resolution 1920 X 1200 Keyboard Saitek Eclipse Mouse Logitech Lazer PSU Corsair TX 650 Case Antec 900 Cooling OCZ Gladiator Max Hard Drives Samsung 640GB Sata

I'm also having the 0x0000003b error, but it is not random. It occurs every time that I try to run a game (CoD, MoH AA & Nethack). I have a number of other games, but haven't installed them, because it appears to be a losing battle. Since I multi-boot, and haven't had this problem with any other OS, I don't believe that it is a hardware problem. Using CoD as a test case, I tried changing the compatability setting several different ways with no improvement. I added it to the DEP Exclusions...no change. Since it seemed to occur simultaneously with selecting the firewall's full screen option, I tried exiting the firewall before starting the game. That did prevent the BSOD, but the game crashed to a black screen all by it's self. I tried the latest Nvidia driver and then rolled it back to the original Windows 7 driver with no change. I don't know, since not everybody is having this problem, but I have a hunch that it is either the Nvidia driver...or something in the installation of Windows 7 itself.
EDIT: As a side note, I tried experimenting with Nvidia 3D settings, by turning everything on, but that caused a BSOD also. I really don't know anything about those settings, but I don't think that it should have crashed the computer. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number DIY OS W7x64 Pro, SuSe 12.1/** W7 x64 Pro, XP MCE CPU Phenom II 1090T w/Noctua NH-D14 /**4400+ X2 w/CM Hyper TX 3 Motherboard ASRock 890FX Deluxe 4/**A8N-SLI Memory 2 x 2GB Patriot PGS34g1600LLKA/**4x1GB Corsair VS Graphics Card EVGA GTX460 SC/**EVGA 8800GTS Sound Card Asus Xonar D2X/**Xonar D1 Monitor(s) Displays Acer X233H, Dell E152FPc /**LG M237-WD Screen Resolution 1920x1080 & 1024x768/**1980x1080 Keyboard Logitech Media USB/**Saitek Eclipse Mouse Cordless Trackman Wheel/**Ditto PSU CM RS600 w/ APC BX1000G/**Antec 500 TP w/ APC BX1000 Case HAF922/**Antec 1040IIB Cooling 3x200mm, 1x140 and 1x120mm/**5x80mm fans Hard Drives WDC 2TB, 1.5TB, 1TB, 500GB,Seagate 500GB , Maxtor 80GB /**500GB Seagate & WDC 1TB Black Internet Speed 3.3Mbps Other Info SB 560 5.1 w/ Sennheiser RS140/**Creative T20 speakers, Dvico FusionHDTV7 Gold RT, Cisco E3000, HP 5510V AIO, Linksys E3000, Belkin F5U237 hub and **F5D8055 adapter

3B stop Just searched Msdn.MS and seems to be a sys service exception caused by recent hardware change. Maybe video driver? Could you give us more info like from event viewer, or the mem dump? Also when BSOD happens on the screen it displays a stop message along with other text. that would also be helpful
Hope it helps a little.

You might, but when I tried, I got a warning that the driver wasn't compatable with the OS...but thenI got that warning on the Windows 7 driver also. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number DIY OS W7x64 Pro, SuSe 12.1/** W7 x64 Pro, XP MCE CPU Phenom II 1090T w/Noctua NH-D14 /**4400+ X2 w/CM Hyper TX 3 Motherboard ASRock 890FX Deluxe 4/**A8N-SLI Memory 2 x 2GB Patriot PGS34g1600LLKA/**4x1GB Corsair VS Graphics Card EVGA GTX460 SC/**EVGA 8800GTS Sound Card Asus Xonar D2X/**Xonar D1 Monitor(s) Displays Acer X233H, Dell E152FPc /**LG M237-WD Screen Resolution 1920x1080 & 1024x768/**1980x1080 Keyboard Logitech Media USB/**Saitek Eclipse Mouse Cordless Trackman Wheel/**Ditto PSU CM RS600 w/ APC BX1000G/**Antec 500 TP w/ APC BX1000 Case HAF922/**Antec 1040IIB Cooling 3x200mm, 1x140 and 1x120mm/**5x80mm fans Hard Drives WDC 2TB, 1.5TB, 1TB, 500GB,Seagate 500GB , Maxtor 80GB /**500GB Seagate & WDC 1TB Black Internet Speed 3.3Mbps Other Info SB 560 5.1 w/ Sennheiser RS140/**Creative T20 speakers, Dvico FusionHDTV7 Gold RT, Cisco E3000, HP 5510V AIO, Linksys E3000, Belkin F5U237 hub and **F5D8055 adapter
