I now have 2x2gb sticks of memory which have passed memtest.

The system restore claimed it did not complete properly, however the computer was able to successfully complete a sfc.

Does someone know how to fix the errors it found but could not repair?

You can try running SFC again to see if it fixes more files, but I suspect a repair install is in order.

It BSODed during step 9 of the process listed in that thread. Explorer.exe is giving me problems when trying to access my documents, notepad. The Minidump directory appears empty, though I can't access that folder.

I'll try installing XP and see if I have any crashes. That way I can figure out if its hardware or Win 7 related I guess.
