    BSOD started happening

    Hi all,

I own a Dell XPS M1330 laptop which I installed windows 7 on. Lately I seem to having a problem where my computer would crash (BSOD) either while I was using it or when I was away doing something else. For the times I have been here my crash has said IRQL_DRIVER_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

This happens probably 3-4 times a day and it's starting to get annoying. I increased my virtual memory size to the max it can go (3 times my memory was the suggested amount and i have 4GB of RAM running a 32 bit windows 7 so 3.5 usable) and updated my graphics card drivers as well.

I'm not sure what this problem is coming from. It could be that I had to have my laptop's motherboard replaced by dell a week after the windows 7 installation because of some hardware failure (or so they claim).

DO you think I would have to reinstall windows 7? Or is there some way I can make everything better without me having to go through all that trouble?
    Thanks

These were all caused by your Intel wifi driver. I would download a fresh copy and install it. I do notice you have a ton of old drivers that need to be updated. See list below

    Hi Ken,

I was wondering where you think the best place to find that driver would be. I checked with Dell's website and the only recommended driver they had was released in 2007, which is the one (i think anyways) that would have come installed with my computer.

Also, what can I do about the drivers at the bottom of the report? I'm not entirely sure what those drivers are for or how to update them.

Thanks again for all the help.

1- wifi driver. while I dont normally recommend letting win 7 update a driver in this case we want to get you going. You can go into device manager (type device manager in search) go to the network tab. Find the wifi driver and un-install it. Then reboot. win 7 will put a fresh copy (not the newest) in there.

2- the other drivers--take the name and google it. that will take you to the mfr. download from there.

Let us know if you need help

    Hi Ken,

I did what you asked, and my computer suddenly stopped being able to connect to wireless networks and get on the internet. I went and downloaded the latest drivers from intel on my other computer and I'm installing them now, i'll let you know how it goes. Thanks for all the help.
