    Windows 7 not booting up!

I have Compaq Presario CQ61. Basically go to Youtube and play games I install with my CD!! I don't download anything. Now the problem I'm having is my laptop won't boot and all I see is the Caps Lock and Num Lock lights blinking and just a black screen.

I just bought this laptop recently and now I am getting very frustrated!! I would be very happy if someone could help me, I would very much appreciate that. Thanks in advance!!

Nothing. It's just a blank screen when I boot it and flashing on my keyboard

do you have an external monitor you can try hooking it up to? it might have a dead LCD screen. I dont know if the -lock keys flash when the LCD screen dies. I will look for info.

You will need to insert your installation DVD, then boot your machine from it...select repair install from the options menu...

Ok, no... I'm officially screwed then. The box didn't come with an installation disc... There goes another laptop And it was still brand new.

But don't sweat it, guys, I appreciate your time helping me.

I dont think your officially screwed.
You can still get installation discs from Compaq.

or try running a ubuntu disk. Ubuntu is free and can run from the CD so it is a good test.
    go to their site
Ubuntu Home Page | Ubuntuand burn the .iso file to a CD
    Download Ubuntu | Ubuntu
