BSOD when exiting game Hello all,
I quite frequently get the dreaded BSOD when exiting Battlefield 2, or just when exiting a game to go back to the menu. I've had two different STOP messages detailing the following two files:
dxgmms1.sys
dxgkrnl.sys
I would be hugely grateful if someone could help me with debugging the attached .dmp file as a text file. I've also including a dxdiag file. If anything else is going to be helpful please let me know.
I've got an i5 processor, running Windows 7, 64-bit, a Radeon 5870, 4GB Black Dragon gaming ram (Windows memtest didn't find any problems).
Thanks in advance.

Looks like your graphics card drivers are causing the issue. I recommend uninstalling the drivers completely and installing a fresh, updated version. Code:

If you've played around with the drivers, and completely uninstalled and installed a fresh copy, remove any CD virtualization programs or ISO Mounters such as Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120%. They use a driver sptd.sys, which is found in your dmps, that is notorious for causing BSODs. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom OS Windows 7 Professional x64 CPU Intel i7 2600K OC'd @ 4620 MHz Motherboard Asus P8Z68-V Pro Memory 16GB GSkill Sniper 2133 Mhz (4x4GB) Graphics Card EVGA GeForce GTX 480 SuperClocked+ Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays 2x Acer S273HLbmii 27" Screen Resolution 2 x 1920x1080 Keyboard Logitech MK320 (wireless) Mouse Logitech MK320 (wireless) PSU Corsair HW Series 750w (modular) Case Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced Blue Edition Cooling CM Hyper 212+ CPU cooler, 3x 230mm + 1x 140mm case fans Hard Drives 64GB Crucial M4 SSD

Mr King,
It was all going so well. I'd disabled Daemon tools via msconfig and hadn't experienced a BSOD since the last post. I have experienced a fair few crashes to desktop, but I can cope with that. But sadly today I got a new BSOD attached.
Would be great if you could advise. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 64-bit CPU Intel i5 Motherboard Asus P7P55D Memory 4GB Black Dragon Gaming RAM Graphics Card Radeon 5870 Monitor(s) Displays Acer Hard Drives Seagate 2 TB |

I still see Daemon Tools installed. I suggest removing it completely. The dmp blames your graphics drivers though, so I would update them or install a fresh copy. Code: Microsoft (R) Windows Debugger Version 6.11.0001.404 AMD64
