64 bit software stop working! (?)

    Ok..here is a weird one..
I have windows 7 64x. All was well until recently that suddently all my 64bit programs crash on startup. I can't run any 64x software and is driving me crazy. I did a regystry clean up with CClean some days ago, but I dont see how this could be the problem.

Here is some info for those who understand.
    Thanks a lot.

First and foremost do a system restore (or restore the registry) to before you did the registry cleanup and see if that solves the problem.

    Registry cleaners aren't to
be taken lightly and are not to be used willy nilly; they often cause more problems than they solve.

    Post back with any results.

    Try a repair install then.

    Repair Install

If it's to do with damaged/missing system files this will fix it.

    welcome to SF nuverian

First, try compiling dump file in zip and attached it on post
and restore back at the time before you run CCcleaner or use backup reg created by CCleaner to backup back any reg modification that you've been done

ADVICE : avoid using Registry cleaner/optimizer and try looking for other option possible :)

Hey. Thanks for the advice.Ill certaintly keep in mind.
So..I run the program and when it crashed I created a dump file through task manager. Is this the right way? But the dump file is 100+ MB ! By the way I changed the error reporting and found that there something to do with "stackhash" if that helps..

@osholt: I'll try to avoid repair install as long as I can.

Run a Command Prompt as an administrator and type in the following:

    sfc /scannow

    (Note the space after sfc)

That will check all your system files and make sure they are OK.

...Ok fixed but what the heck. I did 3 changes and rebooted allthough I cant see how any of those 3 could be the problem. Correct me if Im mistaken.

    1) I rolled back my realtek ethernet drivers.
    2) I uninstalled Tunngle program (like Garena) along with it's virtual network adapter
3(and most likely) In advanced boot options where I can choose number of CPU, I had 8 selected and now set it to 4. (I have an i7)

    What do you think?

Try reinstalling or re-enabling the stuff you listed one by one. When the problem comes back you have the culprit. If it's #3, see whether you have virtualization enabled and switch it to the opposite of what it is now.

What MB and CPU are you running and how many sticks of RAM do you have?
