Lenovo Desktop has been crashing, I suspect a bad ram slot Hi all -- I've been browsing and this seems to be a place to get some expert help. I have 4-5 dump files (sorry, they are not mini, and about 285k in size)
BSOD errors range from 1e to "a"
Fair warning -- Lenovo has replaced the RAM (and is now passing memtest), and the harddrive, and I suspect the mobo is now tossing out errors.
May I post the actual dump files? Could it be one of the drivers for the integrated devices (sound, network) is killing me?
Or possibly the Nvidia 9800gt card that I installed after buying the PC? I feel like my only hope is to dive into these dump files.
Any and all help is completely appreciated! | My System Specs |

If they are not minidumps, then you'll have to post them to a free file hosting site and then leave a link to them in your next post. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home built (x64), Lenovo x61s Tablet, Samsung Netbook OS Win7 x64 + x86 CPU Intel i7 920, other Intel chips, and the Atom in the netbook Motherboard Asus P6T Deluxe Memory 12 gB; 4 gB Lenovo; 1 gB Samsung netbook Graphics Card ATI 4870 Sound Card Yes, I have one of these Monitor(s) Displays 32" Sharp Aquos TV Screen Resolution 800x600 - I have vision issues Keyboard Microsoft Natural Mouse Logitech Trackman PSU 1000 watt (can't recall the brand) Case Antec 300 Cooling Big honking cooler that was rated highly at Toms Hardware Hard Drives 4 - 150 gB Velociraptors in RAID 5

The single dump file doesn't give us enough information.
I'd suggest posting all the dump files and let us massage them a bit to see what we can find.

I'll go into the machine specs part of my profile and add a lot more detail if it helps. Any and all help is completely appreciated! We need the actual DMP file created when the computer crashed. Use these to find and upload them. http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-loc...d-problem.html
If the files are too large you can upload them to a service like rapidshare and put a link in the post.
thanks

These were casued by several things. Memory corruption, the USB hub, and others
Lets start with the memory.. Download memtestx86, burn it to cd, and run it for at least 5 passes.

Ken -- I really appreciate this.
I have gone down the memtest road (tested for 4+ hours). I originally got tens of thousands of errors. I called Lenovo and they sent me new RAM. Only 2 of the sticks now work and pass memtest.
When I try to plug in the 3rd memory stick, the computer hangs at a blank screen.
Is this possibly a bad motherboard? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Lenovo K230 OS Win 7 Professional 64 CPU Core 2 Duo E7400(2.80GHz) Motherboard Intel G33 Memory 6GB DDR2 (but only takes 2 x 2gb, more ram won't boot) Graphics Card PNY GeForce 9800 GT 1024 mb DDR 3 Sound Card Integrated (I think ADI SoundMAX) Monitor(s) Displays ASUS 24 in Screen Resolution 1920x1080 PSU 450 watt Thermaltake Black Widow Case Stock Lenovo Ideacentre Cooling PCI Slot Cooler Hard Drives 640GB 7200RPM Lenovo Desktop has been crashing, I suspect a bad ram slot problems?
