Win7 64bit BSOD - Even after reinstall!!! Hello, BSOD on my pc has bugged me for quite long time now, even though I have reinstalled the Windows 7 x64, after sound card update, it starts crash.
Specifically, the Creative Audigy 2 ZS, driver version: 2.18.0017.
Not sure that's the sole reason, so trying to restore back and using old driver.
But, Debugger tool only read out "ntoskrnl.exe" errors from minidump file.
Any idea what would be the cause?

Here's one of the best posts I can find. You are probably having problems because of ASACPI.sys, like in this post: More BSOD - Windows 7 7600 - Tech Support Forum Code: Microsoft (R) Windows Debugger Version 6.11.0001.404 AMD64

Thanks for your reply Jon. You're right, Asacpi.sys under system32/drivers is quite old, ..2005. However, that was come with installation itself, as I hadn't had any asus driver installed. If this driver is the cause, maybe windows 7 should be more stringent in compatibility test before official release.
Anyway, I have installed new Asus AI suite V10532, with asacpi.sys being updated.
I will keep this update if new BSOD happens.
Btw, Jon, what made you realize it's asacpi.sys problem?

Hi Guys, my PC has been BSOD-free for last 5 days since "Asacpi.sys" update. Unfortunately, another BSOD just happened today (see Minidump below). Same as last time, my WindDbg reads "ntoskrnl.exe" errors from it.
Also, there has been screen-freeze of death for a couples of times without leaving any minidump file.
Thanks! | My System Specs | | OS windows 7 64-bit CPU Intel Core2Duo E6400 2.13GHz Motherboard Asus P5E Memory 8GB Graphics Card Nvidia Geforce 8600GTS 256MB Sound Card Creative Audigy 2ZS / M-Audio Delta 2496 Monitor(s) Displays Eizo FlexScan S2100 Hard Drives Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 SATA 320GB

Hello !!
I'm aware of a problem with Creative Audigy sound card driver and Windows 7. Where p17X.sys causes the Windows to crash. Where did you download and which version is it ?? One of the best driver you could use is Daniel K's Support pack 2.7 SB P17X Series Support Pack 2.7 (04/01/2010) - Aud... - Creative Labs see if crashes again.
Hope this helps,

Hi Jon,
BitLocker Drive Encryption is shown as being turned off in all drives, which is at its default and never being fiddled with.
But I found a problem occurs when I just trying to turn any of it on:"Compatible Trusted Platform Module (TPM) cannot be be found on this computer". Not sure that indicates something wrong with the service.
Btw, there is another BSOD without any change to the system, with Minidump uploaded below.
Cheers! | My System Specs | | OS windows 7 64-bit CPU Intel Core2Duo E6400 2.13GHz Motherboard Asus P5E Memory 8GB Graphics Card Nvidia Geforce 8600GTS 256MB Sound Card Creative Audigy 2ZS / M-Audio Delta 2496 Monitor(s) Displays Eizo FlexScan S2100 Hard Drives Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 SATA 320GB
