I have a asus p5k motherboard - wif 4x1gb rams thats corsair - 5-5-5-12 (400 mhz i think), with a cpu of Q6600 overclocked to 3.0(with a freeze pro7 ac heatsink), graphics card is a evga gtx275. it has been at least 3 years for this computer from what i remember could be more =.=. I don't have any other graphics card at the moment. There was one time where the screen blinked and there was blinking pixel everywhere on the screen, but after a restart everything was normal again; only happened once recently though.i burnt out my 9800gtx some time back as the screen blink, bluescreen and the coloring was wrong no matter how i restart.
From what i remembered the bluescreening started to happen only when i switch to windows 7, didn't have so much on Vista 32bit. i installed two times for windows 7(64bit)(student upgrade verison) clean install with all the format. i'll say the problem is at random, because sometime it is more frequently and some time it doesn't bluescreen more for a few days.

bought my 275 gtx around close to a year not yet - july 09
and nope haven't OC'ed the graphics card.
Didn't notice any visible rusty/bad capacitor on mb. i'll try to ask around and see if i can find borrow one because this motherboard doesn't come with an on-board one
But how do i remove the heatsink on the graphics cards to check for bad capacitors, it is one of those bulky ones.

I have the same random BSODs that give same error message. My problems began just recently and I don't feel it is the RAM. No I haven't tested it yet, but everything was excellent till recently and then it mysteriously started. I also started having graphical glitches in one game I play, NWN2 and it points to recent nVidia updates. I have uninstalled all the nVidia drivers and let the OS install its own.

At this point not sure what to do next. This is a real pain and seems that just recently there are a lot of people with similar problems. There seems like a big issue that has cropped up with older graphics cards, and mine is not really that old. But I can see my card was designed for XP and now I'm trying to run W7 64 bit. Is there any graphics cards that people have found work well in the W7 64 bit environment?

Thanks angelfreeze for the feedback. To update further on my issues, I have solved the graphics glitches in NWN2. I had a gut feeling on this that at some point one of the Nforce driver updates had an adverse effect on my system. I went into device manager, went to the display adapters, update software, browse computer for driver software, let me pick from a list, then I chose probably the oldest driver from that list, the release date was about one year old. I figured I would start there and if I want I can move it forward.

I had a gut feeling about this and after all these years of troubleshooting and building my own computers, testing ram, and so on, working as a computer help desk agent, something was suspicious about this.

Well I can say all the game issues are solved things are back to way they should be, actually seems better now than it has for quite awhile. The graphics are flowing beautifully at cranked settings, no glitches, and so far, crossing my fingers, no BSODs since rolling back!

It makes me wonder about the current status of Nforce drivers? I don't think it is possible to make a driver backwards compatible forever, or is there something else going on here? I'm no programmer, software developer or engineer.
