    BSOD when turn off or reset system


    Hi guys i registered just to see if you could help me, it all started today, i worked on corel and photoshop all day long and play some Call of duty MW2, nothing out of the ordinary, i did not installed anything that i recall or entered in any site i wouldn't normally enter, so im just surprised about this thing...

    The computer works perfectly as usual the only thing is that everytime i try to power off or reset, boom BSOD memory dump and reboots...well it's getting irritating.

    I remembered a couple of days before i updated Catalyst Drivers to 10.5, so i reversed to 10.4, but still nothing it keeps giving me BSOD on turn off/reset.

    I had Vista 64 installed here for years and never gave me an error, so if you guys could help me i'll be really gratefull :)

    I'll leave my error dump here hope im doing it right :)

    Well i'll be waiting for you guys answer!!

    UPDATE: if i end the session or switch users, BSOD too, could someone help me out?? Thanks!

    There are unidentifiable drivers and executables in these dump files.
    As such I strongly suspect an infection.

    Please run one of these free, independent online malware scans (I don't trust your Avira protection to be working properly) to ensure that your current protection hasn't been compromised: Malware (read the details at the link).

    Please post back with the results of the scan(s).

    Hi and thanks for the answer, i figured out the problem while browsing through the Task Manager and noticed 2 different WINLOGON.EXE in activity, one located in system32 where it belongs and another on with no location, i search him everywhere and i fount it in USER/DOCUMENTS as a concelaed .JPG, clearly not right.

    So i started in fail safe mode, deleted it, scanned with Malwaresbyte Antimalware's and get rid of it for good, after that CCleaner fixed the registry entry, and that was it, no more BSOD for me, so now you know!!

    For you guys interested in knowing how it got in (i didn't have a serious infection in YEARS im very carefull with that since i work in my computer) it came in as an adobe update, or an MSN file package. Apparently it got under my radar. Well happy to say now it's all good and dandy ;D!

BSOD Still crashes after a factory reset. Attempt to reset the display driver and recover from timeout failed. I thought a clean factory reset will fix the issue. But it is still has the BSOD. I have uploaded the zip file that contains the dump as instructed.

On Win7/64, created a custom power plan that turns off the display after 3 hours. If I hibernate and come back, all is well. Sometime later (in days), and I'm guessing it's after a reboot, it gets set back to the 20 minute default. Anyone else experience this? Any ideas on how get it to work...
