I have absolutely the same problem and I understand you my friend completely. When I firstly took my computer to service (still under guarantee) they didn't knew what's the problem. Every component worked individually but not as a whole. At the end they gave me a new computer but just transferred my HDD to the new one. After few months the same thing happened and this time I really tried to explain them thoroughly what happened. It was at them for few days after what they called me and said that they fixed it, it was a well known Windows 7 problem. Well, they turned off sleep mode completely but left the sleep button to exist. Few days ago my friend pressed sleep and it was all the same. Now, I really don't want to take it to the service once again since I live in different city (don't ask

) but I am trying to fix it myself. I tried almost everything as you did and still no solution. One thing I noticed when they managed to fix the problem is that I had to set my BIOS clock again. So, I think they unplugged the battery on mother board and then plugged it again. I would like to know what have you found out since this is a very rare and hard to solve problem on Windows 7.
