It appears that he installed some sort of bootloader so that he could run another operating system on your laptop.

Do you need help recovering information/data that's on the laptop?
Do you have/have you made the recovery disks for the laptop?
Did the laptop come with Windows 7 already on it?
Do you just want to wipe everything off the laptop and start over with a fresh installation of Windows?

Also, it may be possible to remove what this "friend" has done - but that's going to be a lot of work trying to figure out what's been done, and then more time fixing it.

Do you need help recovering information/data that's on the laptop? it's a fresh install my friend. no important. :)

Do you have/have you made the recovery disks for the laptop? preinstalled in D: partition.

Did the laptop come with Windows 7 already on it? no, came with win vista home premium.

i think he deleted a slic loader or sort of something . cause when i press it will go to a options of slic loaders. but ipress all the possible things then . go back to error: 15 again.
    please help

In most Compaq's you press the F11 key as the system first starts.
This will take you to the recovery partition on the hard drive.
Select the options to completely wipe the hard drive and restore the computer to the factory state.

Be advised that this will wipe out everything on the computer.

This will install Windows Vista from the recovery partiton.

If installing Windows 7, you'll have to press Esc when the system first boots in order to make it boot from the Windows 7 DVD (which you have to insert in the drive beforehand).

I'd suggest posting over in a Linux forums for advice on grub
As Seven Forums doesn't seem to have a Linux forum, I'd suggest visiting the Linux forums at my other home: Linux Support - Tech Support Forum

    Good luck!
