I'm startin' to believe that my video card is sayin' goodbye
But it's just dont make any sense! I mean, when I get rid of this firewall, i can assure that the Bsod is gone and the frequency of Black Screens has lowered! And my GPU work on these temps for like two years.
I've oppened the case, cleaned all the dust, aimed a big fan on the video card and, even with low temp, i still gettin' black screens. All on the motherboard seens just fine... No burned things. The VGA coller is working.
So... Is it possible for a video card just... Die?
Gonna try others drivers.
Thx for all the help!
Video cards, as will other hardware, can fail for no apparent reason, by no fault of the user. It's just part of the fallen world we live in.
you need to find your motherboard revision number and current bios then check for updates for bios and drivers, the easiest way would be use the GIGABYTE Download Center
if for any reason that will not work then you need to find the revision number of your motherboard manually :The revision number should be printed on the board between the pci slots. If it's not you can press the pause/break key during the POST screen and you should be able to see bios version at the top or bottom of your screen.
then go to gigabytes website and follow the download link to update all of your drivers and bios if needed ?
let us know how it goes and ask if your stuck
Hello again!
Well, sorry, i've been gone, trying to solve the problem... But no luck. Tried another HD with Win Vista 32 bits on it, i got even more BSOD's... Run ATI Tools for 3 minutes, no error found. Tried reconnect the Graphic Card, once again, no luck.
Tried memtest, once again, no error found. And my PSU seens normal.
Well, I think it's faulty GPU, gonna try the XFX RMA, my 8800 it's one year and half old.
I got a minidump this time, can someone analize?
