BSOD 116 while playing heavy load games

First of all, I don't speak english very well so, sorry for any grammar fails.

I've gottin' an annoying problem lately. Started all with black screen with driver(nvlddmkm.sys) stopped responding error. Well, no problems. Checked my temps, everything seems normal.(58~59 idle, 75 full. My GPU runs for years with those temps.)

Then I started gettin' BSOD. 3 BSOD's, two without fragments and this last one with some crazy shit on the screen and then BSOD. Only when I'm playin games like COD, Fable, Oblivion.
My GPU don't overheat(I believe) or something, and don't have any graphical bug on Aero interface. I can pass a day watchin' shit on youtube but I can't pass 5 minutes playin' MW1

I've got here a 8800GS, GA-M61SME-S2L and a AMD Athlon 5000 X2 processor.

Well, I hope that my GPU isn't dying.

Thank-you!

Here the DMP file

First, please keep the expletives under control.

Second, read this article on your bugcheck 116: http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-loc...eshooting.html

Play around with the drivers, test your temps with Speedfan, if if nothing else works, it could be a failing video card.

Ah, sorry.
So, tested my temps with SF and it's on 55~56 on Idle.

I've opened the case, clean all the dust and tested with the case open. Still gettin' black screen, without BSOD or fragments.

Is that a chance of an old version of DirectX conflict with a new Nvidia driver?

Could be. Try using Driver Sweeper.

is part of the Nvidia firewall which you don't need anyway and I have seen it causing problems for others ?

remove your NVIDIA ActiveArmor hardware firewall built into nVidia nForce motherboard chipsets, uninstall it from add/remove programs, Just find the NVIDIA drivers entry then click change remove. Click the radio button - Remove only the following then select [Active armor] then click Remove.

the to reset the repository open notepad then copy and paste the text below:

Code:
c:
cd %windir%\system32\wbem\
net stop winmgmt /y
ping -n 10 127.0.0.1
rmdir /s /q repository
rmdir /s /q Logs
mkdir Logs
net start winmgm
ping -n 10 127.0.0.1
exit
Save it as nvidia.bat

Run it, by doubleclicking on nvidia.bat

Restart computer then let us know how it goes

Hi!
Tried what Jonathan_King suggested and no sucess. The system don't even entered after I used driver sweeper. Have to restore.

Now, I can't find the option to unnistall this firewall thing. When I click on Nvidia Driver, he unnistall everything. Don't even ask to select one.
Wut do I need to do? ><

Thank-you!

Sorry for the double-post, but I figured out how to unnistall the Firewall.

Seems like the problem is almost gone, i've been able to play two stages of MW4 with only one black screen(that recovered very fast)... Seems like the problem is driver after all.

Theres another thing on the dmp file that is causin' conflicts?

Ah, Thank-you Jon and Ickymay for the help!

Tested with another driver version.
Played 2 stages of MW without any black screen, but when I thought that the problem is gone... I got another two black screens.

No Bluescreens.

Any suggestion? I wonder if the problem isn't that TDR thing...

If you read this article: http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-loc...eshooting.html

If playing with drivers doesn't help, it could be a bad card itself. If you have a good friend, see if you can borrow his video card to test.

You can also purchase a card from a computer shop that will let you return if it doesn't solve the problem.
