well looks like it's one problem after another lol. I installed new video driver and it was fine for one day. Today got another blue screen while gaming. This time its ntkrnlmp.exe. I'll upload the minidump file. Any information about this will be greatly appreciated !

I notice that your xBox controller driver is dated 2007. I suggest removing it completely, and using your machine without it for a while.

Please enable driver verifier: Using Driver Verifier to identify issues with Drivers

UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP (7f)
This means a trap occurred in kernel mode, and it's a trap of a kind
that the kernel isn't allowed to have/catch (bound trap) or that
is always instant death (double fault). The first number in the
bugcheck params is the number of the trap (8 = double fault, etc)
Consult an Intel x86 family manual to learn more about what these
traps are. Here is a *portion* of those codes:
If kv shows a taskGate
use .tss on the part before the colon, then kv.
Else if kv shows a trapframe
        use .trap on that value
Else
.trap on the appropriate frame will show where the trap was taken
(on x86, this will be the ebp that goes with the procedure KiTrap)
Endif
kb will then show the corrected stack.

Yeah the one I had before was 2009 and was causing blue screening. I switched to a different one 2007 now. Could that really be the problem?

Old drivers could certainly be the cause.

Whether your xBox controller is causing the issue or not, we need to remove it for troubleshooting purposes.

I suspect hardware.

Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.

Try this free stress test: Free Software - GIMPS
Quote:
Prime95 Setup:
- extract the contents of the zip file to a location of your choice
- double click on the executable file
- select "Just stress testing"
- select the "Blend" test. If you've already run MemTest overnight you may want to run the "Small FFTs" test instead.
- "Number of torture test threads to run" should equal the number of CPU's times 2 (if you're using hyperthreading).
The easiest way to figure this out is to go to Task Manager...Performance tab - and see the number of boxes under CPU Usage History
Then run the test for 6 to 24 hours - or until you get errors (whichever comes first).
The Test selection box and the stress.txt file describes what components that the program stresses.
Try this free video stress test: FurMark: Graphics Card Stability and Stress Test, OpenGL Benchmark and GPU Temperature | oZone3D.Net
Quote:
FurMark Setup:
- If you have more than one GPU, select Multi-GPU during setup
- In the Run mode box, select "Stability Test" and "Log GPU Temperature"
Click "Go" to start the test
- Run the test until the GPU temperature maxes out - or until you start having problems (whichever comes first).
- Click "Quit" to exit
Test hard drive: HD Diagnostic

You may also consider removing Avira. While it is not blamed directly or indirectly, it has caused plenty of BSODs. You may consider replacing it with Microsoft Security Essentials.

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If a kernel debugger is available get the stack backtrace.
Arguments:
Arg1: fffffa80139e7148, memory referenced
Arg2: 0000000000000002, IRQL
Arg3: 0000000000000000, bitfield :
    bit 0 : value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
bit 3 : value 0 = not an execute operation, 1 = execute operation (only on chips which support this level of status)
Arg4: fffff80002c80856, address which referenced memory

Avira is transferring control back to the kernel after it's patch routine but it's doing it at the wrong address. Uninstall Avira completely and install Microsoft Security Essentials http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/.

Windows 7 - Vista

Hi -

I see you took care of xusb21.sys as it was not in the latest dump file.

What is the date on BIOS?

This 2006 BIOStar driver was found in latest dump and is most likely causing trouble -
Code:
BS_I2cIo.sys Mon Dec 11 02:48:39 2006 BIOSTAR I2C I/O driver
I am not sure of its exact function as it is listed as a BIOStar U/O filter driver. I've seen it turn up in two areas on other systems -
Code:
\Program Files\Tseries BIOS Update\BS_I2cIo.sys

\windows\system32\drivers\BS_I2cIo.s

See if you can find update for it.

BIOStar Support --> BIOSTAR :: Download

I also took note that in prior dumps drivers for COMODO were [present. Have you removed COMODO from your system completely (I hope) ?

Regards. . .

windows 7 64 bit Home Premium

I actually do have the latest bios and drivers straight from that link. Looks like that driver from 2006 is from a program that comes with the chipset. I went ahead and just deleted the program. I have uninstalled comodo and avira and replaced with MSE. There seems to be a lot of conflicts when it comes to windows 7 64bit from what I can see. Never had any blue screens on windows xp.

Windows 7 - Vista

3rd party firewalls, like the one in COMODO can wreak havoc in Vista & Windows 7 systems because of the different levels of security user-admin accounts run at v. XP, in which all admin accounts ran with full admin rights 100% of the time.
