    blue screen windows 7 64bit

    I've been getting a lot of random blue screens usually during gaming and sometimes even while streaming on firefox, so I would say it only happens under some load. This is a custom build. I've tried reinstalling windows 7 64bit again but it still keeps occurring. I have also tried 10 different drivers for my graphics card (radeon 4850).

    I've also tried using windows memory diagnostics and updating bios but it still keeps happening. same goes with sfc /scannow. I know my powersupply is strong enough to power my computer with the research I have done so I am left to believe it's just a driver problem. Here is an attachment of two different minidump files from two different days if someone can take a look for me. ^^

    The error is being caused by xusb21.sys. This is the XBOX controller driver. Remove it and retest.

    Hi buddhabn;

    These two crashes were probably caused by xusb21.sys which is a Windows common controller for directx. To fix this problem you need to completely un-install all traces of the current driver and then download and install a new copy.

    Since a Win 7 operating system file was referenced you should also run a system file check.

    To do that you need to open a command window right click to run as admin then type sfc /scannow (note the space between SFC and "/")

    Please inform us of the results

    Probably caused by : xusb21.sys ( xusb21+b10d )

    thank you for the quick reply. I have gone ahead and deleted the driver and I am now using a different version. Hopefully all goes well and there was no other issue with the computer

    looks like I got another blue screen this time by dxgmms1.sys when I tried a 3D game. was playing fine for a few hours then it randomly happened again. I did another sfc /scannow before posting this and found no errors. My cpu and gpu temperatures never went above 60c. I'll upload the minidump file.

    Video driver is suspect. Try latest.

    Of course Barod is correct. It is the video driver. specifically the directx portion of it
    make sure you remove all traces of the current one before you sownload and install a fresh copy.
