Stuck in "Starting Windows" - Even in the Installation CD

    Hello
Last night I turned off my computer normally. The only thing different was that it installed some updates before turning off. This morning when I turned it on, I noticed that it got stuck on the "Starting Windows" logo screen. I turned it off (forcing it) and turned it on again and asked me if I wanted to start normally or repair. When I clicked repair it got stuck on the loading bar thing. At first, the f8 button wouldn't work but after a few tries it did and I can't get in safe mode either, it gets stuck.

I gave up and since the computer is pretty much new so I don't have much installed on it, I decided to just reformat it but even in the disk it gets stuck. I downloaded a repair disc and it is stuck in the loading bar with the Microsoft Corportation below.

EDIT: So I noticed when opening it up that the mobo has a red light(located in the front panel header thing)... next to it, it says LED1 R474... I'm not completely sure what it means but with my luck...it probably died on me.

It was probably the updates so if I could somehow get it to unistall last night's updates (and maybe preventing it from updating again since I'm freaked out) it will get fixed maybe? The question is how :/

    System specs:
System Manufacturer/Model Number Built it myself
    OS Windows 7

CPU intel quad core 2 2.66ghz
    Motherboard xfx 750i sli nforce
    Memory 4gb corsair gaming memory
Graphics Card(s) pny nvidia geforce gts250
    Sound Card on board sound
    Monitor(s) Displays vizio plasma tv
    Hard Drive 500gb WD HDD
    PSU 750watt Corsair
    Case CM 690
    Cooling Thermaltake V1

    Thanx in advance

Have you tried to start it again repeatedly hitting f8 and then choosing Safe Mode? If it will make it into Safe Mode you can revert back to a System Restore point, preferably prior to the updates.

Since you stated this to be a new PC I would also try and reseat all your RAM, cables and card since things get roughed up sometimes in shipping and problems don't always show up immediately, just be sure to remove power connection from the PC and to ground your hand by placing it on the power supply body for a few moments prior to touching anything else, if you have a grounding strap so much the better.

Yep, I tried going on safe mode and it will get stuck again :/
And yeah it's around a month old tho I bought things myself in a local store so I'm pretty sure it wasn't roughed up on my way home but you never know so I'll try that too.

May be you can try to install new version (disc) of window 7 on your computer, the installing process is pretty simple, hopefully u can see the welcome screen again or may be u can use the repair function of the new window 7 disc
