Hi Surendar and welcome to SF
Are you using AVG anti-virus software. Third party anti-virus is well known for causing BSODs and avg is not an exception. I would suggest to remove AVG just for testing purpose

Beside that, please update these drivers:
    Code:
    nvm62x32 nvm62x32.sys Sat Oct 18 04:00:39 2008 (48F8FCF7)
nVidia Ethernet Networking Driver (nForce chipset driver)
Also, please update Asus ATK0110 ACPI Utility (a known BSOD maker). Also a part of the Asus PCProbe and AISuite Utilities
    Code:
    ASACPI ASACPI.sys Fri Aug 13 09:52:52 2004 (411C2D04)

    Hi,

I have installed Win 7 as separate OS ( i.e. in addition to XP ) ages ago. But in recent times ( last 2-3 months ), I am experiencing the frequent blue screen errors & system crashes.

    1. On running sfc /scannow also, it didn't detect any problem
    2. When I tried Repair options that comes up on booting Win 7 after crash, it didn't give any resolutions either.

    My system specs

    Surendar Hi and Welcome

This was probably caused by your AVG anti-virus. I would recommend you uninstall it and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials.

It has been proven not to have the same sort of problems thus far and has much smaller resource footprint.

If this doesnt solve the problem we can investigate further.

Please let us know how you go

Thank you guys for the crucial/critical help :) I have done,

    1) Remove that ACP sys driver file ( as I don't use that ASUS utility )
    2) Uninstalled AVG and installed Microsoft essentials as recommended.

After this, I have worked around 10 hours non-stop in some applications like - photoshop, MS office apps, Animation shop & general internet browsing. It didn't give any problems/crashes. Also, my system boots properly. Hence my normal usage goes fine.

But couple of problems which I have is

    1) When I play Ashes Cricket 2009 ( Codemasters' ), I don't understand whether it utilizes more memory during run time or what, system just shuts down abruptly. I saw the dump file folders & it was empty. I am not understanding the problem. The game was running very smooth in Windows XP at 1280 x 1024 resolution.

    2) My Windows 7 folder size just keeps on increasing. It is around 10 GB at the moment It was earlier around 5-6 GB.

Any help or control measure on these will be great.

    surendar,

It appears that your new queries are unrelated to the original thread topic.
    [Frequent Crash after Windows 7]

You would therefore be best advised to ask these questions in the relevant Forum section, in a new thread.

Please advise if you are still crash / problem free & that your system boots in the correct manner.
