Regarding the Hotfix for 3 Stop errors resuming from Sleep/Hiberate Is anyone having this problem with disk drives as "small" as 320 GB? Also, it mentions an error message. I haven't seen an error message, but my computer has trouble waking up from sleep mode quite often. Is it possible this applies to me? | My System Specs |

320 gB isn't large in respect to that error. I would say that it doesn't apply to you.

When I flip the lid open, the fan comes on, and some of the buttons light up for a few seconds, then the fan stops and the lights go back out. A few seconds later, the process repeats. It will continue until I hold down the power button. Then I can power it on, and it comes up with the "windows improper shutdown" error with the timer, and I command a normal start and things are OK. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP Pavilion DV4-2164US OS Windows 7 CPU Intel core i3 Memory 4 GB Hard Drives 320 GB |

Have you try to update bios? Are all drivers up to date? Have u confronted any BSODs so far?
Do you mind to run system file check to see if everything is running ok
To do that, go to start, type cmd in search box, run it as administrator, in cmd command window, type in sfc /scannow (space between sfc and /)
Hope what your computer going through is not hardware problem | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Lenovo T400 2767 2JU OS Microsoft Window 7 Professional 32 bit CPU Intel Centrino2 vPro Memory 2GB DDR3 Graphics Card ATI Radeon 3400 Sound Card Conexant 20561 SmartAudio HD Monitor(s) Displays Thinkpad Display Screen Resolution 1280x800x49 hertz Keyboard embeded Mouse Logitech Case Magnisium, Fe, etc.. OK, let's start with this: Quote: MSINFO32:
Please go to Start and type in "msinfo32.exe" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Save the report as an .nfo file, then zip up the .nfo file and upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.
If you're having difficulties with the format, please open an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt and type "msinfo32 /nfo C:\Users\Public\Desktop\TEST.NFO" (without the quotes) and press Enter. Then navigate to the C:\Users\Public\Desktop directory to retrieve the TEST.NFO file. If you have difficulties with making this work, please post back. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home built (x64), Lenovo x61s Tablet, Samsung Netbook OS Win7 x64 + x86 CPU Intel i7 920, other Intel chips, and the Atom in the netbook Motherboard Asus P6T Deluxe Memory 12 gB; 4 gB Lenovo; 1 gB Samsung netbook Graphics Card ATI 4870 Sound Card Yes, I have one of these Monitor(s) Displays 32" Sharp Aquos TV Screen Resolution 800x600 - I have vision issues Keyboard Microsoft Natural Mouse Logitech Trackman PSU 1000 watt (can't recall the brand) Case Antec 300 Cooling Big honking cooler that was rated highly at Toms Hardware Hard Drives 4 - 150 gB Velociraptors in RAID 5

I was able to run the command file you specified, and did in fact get a test.nfo file which I can access. What do you need to see from it? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP Pavilion DV4-2164US OS Windows 7 CPU Intel core i3 Memory 4 GB Hard Drives 320 GB |

No specific errors related to the sleep/hibernate function that I could see.
Try the tool at this link: http://www.sevenforums.com/vip/90896...tml#post789753
First, note the system time and then sleep the computer.
Then note the time that it finally wakes up.
We'll use those 2 times to narrow down the events that we have to look at in the next step....
Click on the Event Logs button and wait until it creates a Seven Forums folder on your Desktop.
Then zip it up and upload it with your next post.
That'll have more info for us. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home built (x64), Lenovo x61s Tablet, Samsung Netbook OS Win7 x64 + x86 CPU Intel i7 920, other Intel chips, and the Atom in the netbook Motherboard Asus P6T Deluxe Memory 12 gB; 4 gB Lenovo; 1 gB Samsung netbook Graphics Card ATI 4870 Sound Card Yes, I have one of these Monitor(s) Displays 32" Sharp Aquos TV Screen Resolution 800x600 - I have vision issues Keyboard Microsoft Natural Mouse Logitech Trackman PSU 1000 watt (can't recall the brand) Case Antec 300 Cooling Big honking cooler that was rated highly at Toms Hardware Hard Drives 4 - 150 gB Velociraptors in RAID 5
