computer won't start

    computer won't start


    when i start my computer i get a message that says:

    find --set-root --ignore-floppies --ignore-cd /wedaolu

    error 15: file not found

    press any key to continue...

    I press a key & it goes 2 a red screen that says:

    grub4dos 0.4.4 2009-09-03, memory: 606k/2037m, menuend: 0x45b2a

    windows with SLIC Loader (default)
    windows without loader
    windows with SLIC Loader (use alternative method)
    windows with SLIC Loader (use low memory)
    windows with SLIC Loader (full debug output)
    windows with SLIC Loader (more forceful - may crash)
    load externel menu (menu.1st)
    grub command line


    use the up and down keys to highlight an entsy. press ENTER or 'b' to bnot.
    press 'e' to edit the commands before booting, or 'c' for a command-line.


    my brother downloaded a torrent version of windows 7 now im not able to run my recovery disc or start windows

    neftizzy, do you have a valid Windows 7 license that you can install? Apparently there is a conflict between your Linux (previous?) install and the Windows 7 install.

    i dont have one my brother downloaded a windows 7 torrent & he said he didnt have a key...

    Uhn, I think you will then have o go back to whatever you were using on that computer, not Windows 7.

    i dont know how to do that i tried to use my recovery disc but its not booting

    Did you set the computer to boot from the CD? Start computer-->F2-->boot from CD

    i gotta a lil more info about what he did... he said he didnt select a OEM when he installed the windows 7 torrent....

    you mean he didn't purchase OEM retail version at the store to install, he used the downloaded one??

    yes... he didnt buy a retail version he downloaded a torrent version of it...
