Here is my suggestion. If you are not on a network, forget about the repair, it will not benefit you.

If you want to solve the problem with the game crash, this is what I suggest

First go to the compatiblity center and see if your game is compatible.
Windows 7 Compatibility: Resources for PCs, Devices and Software Programs

If it is go to device manager, from search and make sure that all drivers are up to date, especially the graphics. Be sure that you have the most up to date graphics card

If that is ok take a memory test using memtest86.
Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

Be sure you are not overheating

Finally the most important step, cross your fingers. If these steps do not work, repost and we will move on from there.

    Yes, it's compatible.

OK. The only thing that I know at this point is the slow process of diagnosing the problem

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

You did not generate a dmp report, did you?

The game usually crashes after a race, never during a race or on opening the game.

Did you check the game website for any updates?

Try the clean and safe mode boot. That will tell us a lot.

I've installed a patch the other day as informed by someone in the gaming section.
That clean boot will take forever.
Do you know what the errors are in that txt document?
