New system, BSODs around

Hello

After my previous MB got fried I got a new one (with a new processor).. the new MB is an asus with an AM2+ socket and I have an Athlon Phenom II x3 705e as my processor. I also updated my graphics adapter, the new one is ATI radeon.

All was well in the beginning but then my system started experiencing BSODs and some other general strangeness. This was when I still had windows XP installed. I decided to update to windows 7 (64bit) and also get new memory sticks. Now I'm running with the new windows 7 and the general strangeness is gone.. but the BSODs still remain. I just got my first one. Attached is a dump of the problem according to the forum instructions. If anybody knowledgeable could take a look, I would really appreciate it!

I strongly suspect ZoneAlarm is the cause. Please remove it, and run this removal tool: http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/fr...cpes_clean.exe

Avira should be removed too: http://www.avira.com/en/documents/ut...ninstXPeng.zip

Install MSE as a replacement for both: http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials

UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP (7f)
This means a trap occurred in kernel mode, and it's a trap of a kind
that the kernel isn't allowed to have/catch (bound trap) or that
is always instant death (double fault). The first number in the
bugcheck params is the number of the trap (8 = double fault, etc)
Consult an Intel x86 family manual to learn more about what these
traps are. Here is a *portion* of those codes:
If kv shows a taskGate
use .tss on the part before the colon, then kv.
Else if kv shows a trapframe
        use .trap on that value
Else
.trap on the appropriate frame will show where the trap was taken
(on x86, this will be the ebp that goes with the procedure KiTrap)
Endif
kb will then show the corrected stack.

Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000008, EXCEPTION_DOUBLE_FAULT
Arg2: 000000008005f031
Arg3: 00000000000006f8
Arg4: fffff80002a7a091

The above driers are outdated and should be replaced.

One cause as indicated above is memory corruption
Download and test with memtest86. Make at leat 6 runs for best results
Uninstall Zone Alarm
Reseat your ram sticks
Any overclocking should be discontinued
Uninstall the virus scanner and replace with Microsoft security essentials, at least for testing purposes.

I have discontinued my analyis since I see it was already completed.
