My slightly unusual crashing

Will I get the same results from the scan in safemode? Im not sure my computer will be stable long enough to complete the scan.

Ok there are alot of duplicate ownerships. In a command prompt type cd\ this should bring you back to C:\ now type takeown /f *. You also need to do a Virus scan, MSE is a good option. Also please do a check disk of each hard drive. Then redo the system scan please.

Hmm it is fixing some files (mostly moving them). This leaves the repair or reinstall option. You have some system files that are corrupted beyond the systems ability to repair. If you dont want to reinstall I would suggest running the scan a few more times. It is possible that you have an onion of corruption and each time it repairs some files it find more. Other then that I have run out of my knowledge.

Do you have the 64bit disk or the disk for 32bit? Also can you tell us how much ram you have and processor speed/type.

Umm you can try it. Just bootup the cd and try the repair option.

You dont need to use 64bit however as the only real benefit to 64bit for now is you can use more then 4 gig of ram. Since you only have 4gig you would probably be better off doing a wipe and reinstall of 32bit. 32bit has a lot less issues as most everything is built for 32bit systems.
