    thank you for the advice. no bsod since i cleaned up programs yesterday (kis) and no more trend micro done a complete uninstall of that. my girlfriend brought me home bit defender 2010 pro today for a present to help out cant hurt her feelings but pc comes first

    these screen shots of reports were yesterday focusing on the kis and also i found the ntune to do with nvidia?and the video card but i was instaling kantris at the time and i uninstalled it sraight away the revo is a good tool.

    Brian, I am not a hardware guy. I have a lot to learn in that area. I have no idea what the reading should be for your hardware. Maybe one of the other guys who know hardware will see this.

    Yes Revo is a very good tool and safe to use. I am glad you got rid of all security suites. I am sure down the road the makers of these suites will figure out how to make them work with Win 7. They will have to in order to stay in business. I have never cared for suites personally for a number of reasons and I sure don't like them now.

    So you have gone a day without a BSOD? That is wonderful news! :) Maybe we are getting to the bottom of this. I had a gut feeling that Kaspersky was one of your problems all along - plus the large number of obsolete drivers.

    Run your system a while and then make a system image backing everything up on another hard drive. Then add a program you want to use. Let it run a few days and then add another. But make sure the software you load is current and that it is certified for Win 7. You will save yourself a lot of grief and frustration.

    hi everyone:)
    hope you are all well a update on the machine after a lot of research and hair pulling out frowns and anger i decided to upgrade the graphics card to >Radeon HD 5550 and no probs yet been running for 6 hrs it was easy to install got rid of ALL nvidia drivers and other bits with revo (just had enough of bsod) on other sites everyone was reporting of the same probs with the same card and operating system. the pc world i bought it from are a joke there tech teams are not much help so lets hope that's it thanks all for your kindness in the help you have given me i wont say this thread is finished untill 100% happy but it seems to be heading in that direction
