gdrv.sys was blamed in one of the dump file. It is a component of Dynamic Energy Saver Advanced. To be honest it's not really a good idea to be using it while trying to overclock. Please reinstall DESA or remove it.

Let us know if you need help,

I've run memtest overnight with no problems - as far as DESA, I've no clue what that is nor do I overclock - I prefer not to have problems that can result from overclocking machines.

Also I've run a chkdsk and sfc with no problems - at this rate I'm thinking I may do a reinstall of the OS because too many errors are pointing to the ntoskrnl.exe file - could be a corrupted windows update possibly? Because nothing changed on the PC from the time I had no problem, to the constant Blue screens - other than the normal windows updates.

It is always possible that it could be a corrupted Windows update. I would not base that on the dmps pointing to ntoskrnl.exe though. This file is simply getting blamed because the debugging program can't finger the exact cause.

I see that you have Driver Verifier turned on. I suggest you turn it off now as it is only pointing to system files.

Also for the purposed of trouble shooting, I suggest you uninstall Avira using the uninstall tool > Info > Tool. The reason for this is that Avira has been known to cause BSOD on some Win 7 systems. While I saw nothing in the dmps that pointed to Avira, you need to eliminate it as a possibility. You can always reinstall it once you get your system running smoothly. In the meantime, download and install Microsoft Security Essentials and make sure Windows Firewall is turned on.

Once you have uninstalled Avira and turned off Driver Verifier, run your system and upload any new dumps generated by BSOD's.

I went ahead and did the reinstall of the OS - choosing the upgrade option and so far have not suffered any event log errors except for SidebySide...when, in the past I was getting errors quite frequently even if it didn't cause a crash.

I'm crossing my fingers at this point in hopes that the reinstall fixes the problem - I will repost if it crashes at all today with the new dmp it creates.

I appreciate the responses and time you guys spent trying to help me, I still may need the help yet

The dmp gives a stop error code of 3B; but gives nothing conclusive. It points to a hardware/driver problem.

All of your drivers appear to be up to date.

For the purposed of trouble shooting, I suggest you uninstall Avira using the uninstall tool > Info > Tool.

Once you do this, reboot and let's see what happens.

Since the problem surfaced after I added 4 more gig of RAM - could the memory timings/voltages be the problem? I have verified the RAM sticks are all good with memtest86+ so the sticks should be good - I've posted on the Mushkin forums ( my ram type ) and they suggested increasing the CPU NB VID and the DDR3 voltage control. I've done that and am now running the system to see if anymore BSODs - if it happens again my next step will be to uninstall Avira as suggested.

The Mushkin forum tech said that when using all 4 DIMMs with the board I have people usually have to increase those voltages.

What's your take on the memory issue Carl?

    Thanks sir!

RAM voltages and timing can definitely trigger BSOD's and the error codes you are getting indicate memory is the problem. Unfortunately, they don't tell us what part of the memory equation is the problem. Another factor I saw today in another thread is the type of RAM. Is your RAM approved for your particular motherboard?

I am not a hardware guy and I can't advise you on voltages and timing. I hope your solution works and you have smooth sailing. Be sure to let us know.
