    Strange systematic freeze

Hi! I have just installed windows 7 and updated all drivers to the latest versions. The OS runs perfectly but when browse into a folder with m2ts files (avchd files from a camrecorder) the computer freezes 7 times out of 10 without any blue screen or restart, it just freezes. 3 times out of 10 I manage to open the videofiles and they play perfectly. No lag and no freezes in the mediaplayer (I use mpc home cinema and VLC).

Seems like windows freezes when it is gathering information about the m2ts files (loading miniatures etc). Anyone have a clue about what the problem could be?

(I have a gigabyte motherboard with ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics and a AMD phenom 2 X3 710 processor)
