Windows 7: BSOD and verticle lines - regulary

yep after looking through the memtest site a bit more i found the iso, i'll burn it to cd and run it over night.

If i had to guess what has stopped the bsod i'd honestly say it was updating the bios.

there are known issues with the ati 5770 not working on older 590 series chipsets due to a north/south bridge incompad. the latest bios update is a beta e-mailed to me from gigabyte but others have reported it to work on the m59sli board.

currently i have the 5770 installed on the 8x slot as it wouldn't go to POST with it in the 16x slot, but since i updated the bios today i'll install it into the 16x slot tommorow after the memtest is complete and see if it boots up.

i'll be really happy if the bsod has been fixed as i do my studies online and the fear of it bsod'ing mid way through the tests is always in the back of my mind

well i haven't done the memtest or swapped the card yet, been really busy but i have left the pc on for 2 days straight now and not a single BSOD! considering it was happening on a frequency of once every 1-2 hours i'd say the bsod has been fixed

Homepage is verticle
My dog stepped on my laptop and now the homepage is verticals and cursor is moving opposite from the way it is supposed to move. How can I get it back to load horizontally?
General Discussion
BSOD Screen freezes with red/blue/yellow horizontal lines then BSOD
This normally happens when I first start using the computer for the day. Sometimes when it happens there is a sound to it when it freezes but not always. Once the computer is going good for around 15-20mins then it no longer happens until the next reboot.

Lines, Deformation, BSOD, Not ram.
Hi my problem has started about 4 months ago. When playing some video games, i get red or blue lines all over the screen. My gpu is quite stable and cool. Fan is clean and working. I used to play SWAT 4 without any issues but now even game dev tycoon makes artifacts. cs 1.5 works without issue....

scanned email attachements lining up horizontal, not verticle.
when i click (in outlook/hotmail) to attach items (from windows explorer libraries) i've scanned (onto memory card), they are appearing in attachement space, horizontally, instead of vertically, so not all of the page can be seen or read. how do i correct this?

Unreadable lines of text on BSoD
Hello, just got a BSoD after going to Facebook. And of course, the error wasn't readable at all. When I loaded Windows back up and logged in, Window's gave me a popup telling me it recovered from an unexpected shutdown. Anyone able to see what caused the issue with the given text? Thanks.
