Desktop Icons have no captions visible

    Desktop Icons have no captions visible


    since upgrading from xp to win 7 I can no longer see the captions under my desktop icons. Tried the "restore" under personilaztion. Didn't help. Any suggestions?

    Tried running the .bat file and rebooted no help.
    When using the manual cmd option it says
    Could Not Find C:\Users\Myron\AppData\Local\IconCache.db

    I have a "cloned" user profile that shows the icon captions just fine. I copied the existing IconCache.db from there and pasted it in under C: drive where it should be. Restarted and still nothing. Why would the captions appear in one profile and not the other?
