    Problems with installation - GTA IV on Windows 7


    Can anyone help me to install GTA IV on Windows 7.

    When I try to install the game, this message is displayed:

    Hi MilAnno,

    Try running the GTA IV installer in Compatibility Mode for Windows XP SP2. Here's a tutorial: Compatibility Mode

    Let me know how that works.

    Can you tell me what I must do now to turn off compatibility mode?

    Compatibility is not a global setting, it only affects the .exe whose Properties you accessed to change it. You're good to go :)

    Can you please explain this new problem? I can't tell what's wrong from the screenshot alone.

    This problem is solved. I just restarted my PC, and everything is OK now

    Make sure you update GTA IV with the latest patches. this will fix lag issues and make it run better.
