    The phrase "Please Advise"

What do you all think of the phrase "please advise"? Especially those of you who work in IT, what are your thoughts on it? Indifferent or does it irk you when it's overused.

Anything that is over used is irksome.

Would it be preferable for someone to say 'hey <insert insulting term/phrase> - get the flap over here and fix the flapping thing you flapping <insert insulting term/phrase> '?

    Yes!

"Please advise" or even worse when it's misspelled "please advice" and in ALL CAPS, it equates to "you, you fix now! NOW!"
