Thank you very much everyone. You have no idea how much your support means. Yesterday was a doctors day for followup. They decided to push her lung surgery back a week to give her throat and windpipe more time to heal from the two forced intubations. So, we have a week together and we are going to make the most of it. Her surgery is set for Thursday, September 16th.

She was disappointed because she had mentally geared up for it and she wants it done and over with. But she does realize the extra healing time will be good.

Difficult intubations can cause problems.

My younger brother had his surgery postponed when the Anesthesiologist nicked his trachea.
He also had to wait a couple of weeks until it healed before the surgeon would proceed.

Mentally preparing for something of this magnitude only to have it 'delayed' is very taxing emotionally. But it's good that she acknowledges that a stronger body adds toward to a positive outcome.

Carl I've just found this thread.. Many prayers for Mae Lyne and you.. as others have said.. this week to heal will mean a lot later as she tries to recover from the surgery that is to be done.. to remove the mass.. I'm so pleased you have this week of time to spend together before the surgery.. even tho I'm sure you both are a bit disappointed right now. .. this happened this way for a reason .. for which none of us know... Only the Master knows.. He will be with you both ,even now before her surgery HE is taking control of this situation.. moving things around .. knowing what you both need.. even before the surgery has happened... Turn it all over to HIM.. as I know you will do.. I've no doubt she will be totally healed.. from this big bump in her road of life..
May the Lord hold you both safely in His hands through whatever is out in front of you now.
Prayers for you both to rest in HIM knowing everything is going well.

We are all here for you. Thanks for the update. All our thoughts go out to the both of you.

Hopefully everything will go well, but we're thinking of you here. The wife went through a similar bout with her kidneys a few years ago, and thankfully it was caught very early as well - recovery was good, and she's been good ever since. Hopefully your wife will have the same outcome, and this can become a thing of your collective past.

So I am not that worried , Carl ! I know that you will defeat that adversity , with a smiling face .
