I was wondering if it were possible to connect a wifi chip in a smartphone to a PC running windows XP??

I took the phone apart but I have no idea which could be the wifi chip.
This is the phone I have: Amazon.com: HTC Touch Pro XV6850 Phone, Black (Verizon Wireless): Cell Phones & Service

Ty for your time.
