Hmmm, static image of a street being an invasion of privacy...There's very few people about when the Google cameras are active anyway. At least, not in my street lol
I love street view and have no concerns over it.
I see photos of streets on facebook with people who are not associated to the picture and their face's are not even hidden :)
I love street view, it saved me hundreds of miles in driving when trying to find a new house to buy.
I don't like Street View. From the picture available on the web, my car was parked in the road and you can clearly see and make out my license plate. In addition, about 9 months ago that car was stolen. Perhaps it was found on Street View. I sometimes look at Street view when feeling nostalgic and want to see my car again...where it belongs...at my house.
Registration plates are blurred out completely now, and faces are also blurred out.
And I've yet to see a house that you can clearly see inside through the windows and see everything inside.
I think Street View's great. Especially as I can use it on my phone's satnav when driving, which gives you a better idea of where you are.
Street view is a stellar idea.
Czech government, not so much. They just miss the iron curtain.
I personally like street view but I think this is just pay back for the way Google collected Wi-Fi data when doing the street view filming. Google got cocky and got caught and then some lame excuse that they didn't know about the software they were using. Google needs to be slapped down to get their attention. They stepped over the line and now have to live with the consequences.
