Smart Or Dumb Moves...I Need An Opinion

I've been trying to sell my EVGA 9800 Graphics card for a while now and finally found a buyer on craigslist. After receiving several hate mails and such I decided to lower the price to 100$.

Now I'm finding that I'm asking myself whether that was a smart move or dumb one.

    Opinions?

Given that you can buy a brand new GTX 460 card for $160... If you were able to get $100 for that 9800, you did pretty good IMHO. :)

I don't know how you could sell an EVGA 9800 card for any more than $100. Heck, I put in a 9800GTX+ EVGA card over 1 year ago that I got from NewEgg for like $119.

Looking today, I can get a 9800GT EVGA brand new from NewEgg for $99. Unless I could get it used for 1/2 that price...I wouldn't even consider used.

    Is it a 9800GT or 9800GTX?

That's hard to answer with so many different models out there. How old is the card and what' the retail price for a new one?

I ask because it seemed like he thought he was getting a great deal. I wasn't sure what to think.

I looked around and though 100 was on average a fair price, and since I was getting hate mail everyday saying I was mentally retarded for declining certain offers I figured 100 was fair since I'm planning on getting a new one.

I know they changed the 9800 around a lot before they moved onto the need 200, 300 series etc...
