Windows 7: xp question ks.sys and sp2.cab

i reinstalled fresh xp from a old xp cd, and installation failed to install ks.sys and sp2.cab from the original CD, what are these files and are they important for computer to work ok.

because i have HP office 7000 installed on network, and the system was printing fine yesterday but today it refuse to print any document at all from this specific system, all the other systems can print fine on hp printer.

pls forgive me for asking xp problems here, but members here are more knowledgeable than any other forums.
