Why You Should Never Pick a Risqué File Name

A pedophile took his laptop to a Best Buy to have it looked over for a DVD issue and apparently, during a malware scan, some file names raised flags with the technician, namely a file 'childporn.jpg'

What was interesting was the belief that privacy had been violated by the pedophile with regards to his computer.

I highly doubt that the staffer stumbled upon the file when they were doing a malware scan. It was when they went to search for *.jpg to look for pictures they found this....and that would be an invasion of privacy.

some staffers usualy look up in the pc / laptop even if they don't have any right to do that.. just curiosity but still it's a invasion of privacy.

look at the bright side he discovered a pedophile!

Those particular files had names of a “very explicit nature,” says a judicial opinion in the case (hat tip: Eric Goldman), which led the Geeks to contact the police as they suspected they’d found child porn
I misquoted, apparently it wasn't named childporn.jpg, but still...
