I use every version of windows 7 except for enterprise and starter, depending the machine or virtual machine I'm using ATM.. Right now I'm using a Ultimate x64 on a Dell latitude XT-2 with a 128GB SSD

Thank you for the confirmation Lordbob!...but I didn't know that then. Still..is there any gain over the 32 Bit version with 2GB RAM ?

I don't think there's any good reason not to install a 64 bit OS on a system that can run it... even if it only has 2GB RAM. I've noticed starting new processes while already running multiple heavy cpu-intensive processes e.g. opening up a webpage with windows update already running on new install while adding a 200GB music folder to WMP ..is less likely to freeze 64 bit windows 7 than in the exact same hardware running 32 bit windows 7. The reason.. a 64 bit OS is better able to fully utilize a multi-core system
Windows 7 Professional x64. It was only $29 more for it over Home Premium and iBuyPower does not offer x86 Windows 7 as an option
