    Well, I brought this up to the mods the last time this was asked, but they replied it wasn't in the by-laws of this forum. Apparently, we can talk about it. But I wouldn't direct anyone to an image. I think if you bought an OS, you can put it anywhere you want - you own it. Apple is a little nuts.

    As long as they are not installing from a pirate source and have aquired the install media legally then I cant see any harm.

    Yeah, but when they are going to hackintosh, they are looking for a torrent, along with instructions.

    No I don't believe it, I'm sure everybody here would legally obtain a copy before trying to install it on there PC

    Except the legal copies of the OSX disc won't install on PC's because of a BIOS rather than an EFI based motherboard. All of the hackintosh builds, are hacked copies of the OSX operating system. Back in the day when I screwed around with this, I bought an EFI-X module and used that with a retail copy of the disk and it worked..but it was far from great. I pretty much screwed around with it for a week or two, and disconnected the EFIX module and never touched it again.
