Desktop sheer raw power just can't be beat, but I've come to love being able to lug laptops around, even if I do end up having them plugged in all the time.

Laptop, because it is portable. And when I ever need a big screen or additional drive etc, I just connect it via USB or HDMI (dual monitors connected.)

Desktops are more powerful, laptops have a short lifespan and cannot be upgraded as PCs

Firstly, I am a desktop user, so I am not "defending" laptops :)

But laptops can absolutely be upgraded! Just takes a little more work. We upgrade specs all the time in our older laptops here at work. And no, not just the RAM either :)

Most laptops are limited to RAM and CPU upgrades

The life span of a computer all depends on how the owner maintains the aforementioned computer
