    Senior Moment

I was looking at Mobos with 1155 sockets and I7 2600K chips. The I7 has video and the boards I looked at didn't. Where is the port for the display?

There isn't, the boards using the i7 graphics abilities will either require an onboard port or another GPU in a PCIE slot. The general consensus is to get the i7 without the graphics abilities (or have it turned off) and rely on a GPU for your graphic processing needs, this free's the i7 for better crunching of your general processing. however I believe you can use the i7's graphics in unison with a mid range GPU if you like.

    Yep

I would rather have the graphics adapter in a pci slot. That means I don't need the graphics on the CPU. Is there an I7 (1155 socket) that is unlocked with no graphics?

Oh I just checked on GURU3D and it says plugging in a "discrete" graphics card will result in the I5/I7 disabling its graphics ability automatically.

    1366

Looks like I'll be sticking with the 1366 socket unless Ivy Bridge comes up with something I like. I havent looked at the 1156 sockets yet.
