buy AMD............ since AMD lacks the resources to steal market share from Intel.... does the 80's antitrust case rules bars IBM to buy any chips compnay like AMD

IBM has no interest in manufacturing hardware anymore. They sold their PC line to Lenovo. Also, Microsoft does not make PC hardware either. For either one to buy AMD would be silly and pointless.

AMD is roughly a third the size of Intel based on their stock prices.
When we are talking about 2 world-wide gi-hugant companies, I think AMD is fine.
