Cyanogen Mod 6.1 (No Market)

Hi,

This is a post for android users only.

I recently downloaded CM 6.1 and installed it and found out that it had no market place. I took me hours to find the solution so that is why am posting this. After you have installed CM 6.1, some rom manager users may have noticed the Google apps/addons fails to download because the download link is down. To over come this follow the steps below.

CM 6.1 MUST BE INSTALLED!

Manual install;

1. Download the file from here RapidShare AG, Cham, Switzerland (A reupload of http://www.tap3w0rm.com/hosted/andro...020-signed.zip Link is broken) Place it onto your phones sd card.

2. Reboot into recovery mode and load rom from sd card, then your phone should be rebooted automatically and load back to normal with Google addons installed.

Notes: This was done on a passion (Nexus One) Should work with most android phones

'Touch android to begin' may not go away, to solve this reboot into recovery mode, select wipe and reset and it should work as normal.
Downloads are all safe because I have scanned them and currently using them myself.

Hope this helps and wanted to spread this info. I understand this is not the best forum to post this on.

Thanks

CM6.1 (Google Apps) is fixed
