Does Your Country Have Language Pollution?

In the United States for the last few years, an epidemic of "Language Pollution" has gone wild. What I mean is when people talk, every other word is "you know". == An example, "I went work today, you know, and when I got there, you know.......". You see what I mean. I hear people on the radio talk this way all of the time and it just drives me crazy. I was just curious if this very bad habit has crept into the language of other countries.

Add Canada to the list. Sometimes I can't even follow the conversation.

I think there isn't a country where more or less (like, you know) that is not a case.

It really surprises me that this has spread to all countries. I really only expected the US and Canada. Just think how the World will sound in 30 years. I can just picture diplomats with the "I mean, you know". Well the fortunate thing is that I won't be around to have to put up with it.

I'm not happy that we use such words with almost no sense of there meaning or roots, but we all must learn to listen beyond the words for the intent and it is there we must make our determinations. I just think that we diminish ourself when we use any word too often and out of context. What drives me crazy is the made up political and economic phases that have permeated out society it makes understanding even legalize easy by comparison. Of course the reason for these new hybrid words is to throw us off track and to make things that in plain English or other languages that would be toxic and something to avoid suddenly re-phrased clean and desirable.

    I feel like replying "no, I don't know - that's why I asked."

It is the norm in society, its what the world is accepting, like back in the 90's there was a lot less of the "Junk" on tv because society was not willing to accept it, now in today's world we get shows like "Jersey Shore" and other vulgar things.
