I have a tall metal and glass shelf (originally designed for a kitchen...I think), that I'm using as a computer shelf/desk in my bedroom. The computer sits on the lowest shelf, with DVD/VCR player on the next, and the top holds the keyboard, mouse, etc.
I have decided that I want some kind of curtain hanging from the DVD player shelf, covering the computer tower below. I have been trying to imagine the best way to do this, and basically it is fairly simple, except that I'm concerned about cutting of airflow.
To counter this, I thought about cutting slits in the outer layer of the curtain (black fabric), and placing an inner layer of fabric mesh, something like this"

The question is whether the size of the perforations would be adequate to provide cooling?
